ROTONDA MEADOWS/VILLAS CONSERVATION ASSOCIATION

BOARD OF DIRECTORS’ MEETING
May 17, 2017

The duly noticed Board of Directors’ meeting for the Rotonda Meadows/Villas Conservation Association was held on Wednesday May 17, 2017. The meeting was called to order at 12:30 p.m. Directors present were Noel Andress, John Brandenberger and Peter Traverso. Also present were Association Managers Dianne Beymer and Tim Freeman and four members.

A quorum of the Board was present so the meeting could proceed.

MINUTES

On MOTION by Peter Traverso, seconded by John Brandenberger, the Board agreed unanimously to approve the Minutes of the April 19, 2017 Board Meeting as submitted.

TREASURER’S REPORT

The checkbook, bank statements and Trial Balance reconcile and expenses are in line with the budget. The financial reports were reviewed, and a discussion followed regarding the amount of assessment revenue being lost due to the County’s delay in helping to bring power into the area by setting up an MSBU for power and the outrageous water and sewer connection fees they charge.

COMMITTEE REPORTS

Deed Restrictions:
Tim Freeman removed a few real estate signs and also sent a letter to the owner of 29 Elm Drive who was doing work without an RMC. Someone built a dock on Association property. On a MOTION by Peter Traverso, seconded by John Brandenberger, the Board voted unanimously to have the unauthorized dock on Association property removed.
ACC: The Board reviewed plans submitted by Vantage Homes for 6 Yellowhammer Drive. Some changes were recommended and a brief discussion followed. On a MOTION by Peter Traverso, seconded by John Brandenberger the Board voted unanimously to approve the application for 6 Yellowhammer Drive with the recommended changes.
RMC: None

OLD BUSINESS

FPL Project Update: There has been no response to Derek Rooney’s from Janette Knowlton. He suggested the Board write a letter to the County Commissioners regarding this situation and include a copy of Mr. Rooney’s letter. Tim Freeman is working on a draft and will email it to the Board and Derek Rooney prior to mailing.

Road Paving: Paving has been completed and crews are now laying sod. Peter Traverso has requested as-built photos taken prior to paving to see where the paving was done. Noel Andress said there’s a hole on Yellowhammer that needs to be fixed; Tim Freeman will make sure that’s on the punch list.

OTHER BUSINESS

TDU Revision Hearing: Noel Andress congratulated Peter Traverso, John Brandenberger and two owners who attended the hearing and addressed the Commissioners to convey their support of the proposed TDU ordinance. All but one Commissioner voted to transmit the proposed ordinance to the State. It should be back from the State July 25, then there will be a final hearing (no date has been set.)

Payables: Payables were reviewed and checks signed.

Next Meeting: The next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at noon.

ADJOURNMENT

There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting adjourned at 1:20 p.m.
